Travelling to Ribadeo on a car, whether your own or one rented at the airport is a good option as it gives you the freedom to explore the many places in the area that will make your stay one to remember.

Ever since the opening of the Autovía del Cantábrico (A8) road, making your way to Ribadeo by car is easy from any point. We are now linked to the entire northern part of the country, as well as the rest of Galicia thanks to its connection to the A6 road.  

Also, the N-642 road, which cover the entire A Mariña region, provides easy access to Ribadeo from any part of northern Lugo. In its Ribadeo-A Veiga section, it is possible to travel to the province's capital through thr N-640.  

Many are the roads that coould lead you to Ribadeo, so it may be only a step on your journey, or a place to stay. Regardless, many interesting towns await you in the area. Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, and Avilés are only a 90-minute away, and you can get to Lugo in little more than half an hour.
